Looking only to Him

With our first interview approaching tomorrow, 3rd October 2008 at 1pm with Procare, Jon and I are so aware of being guided by the Holy Spirit. Although our hearts yearn to have a family, we don't want to make our own way and have an Ishmael. We have not seen or sensed any closing of doors yet, but we tread carefully, consulting God all the way. Isaiah 54 is a beautiful chapter that the Holy Spirit laid on my heart yesterday. We are nervous too. So many thoughts going through our minds - will we be good enough parents to a child that is not biological ours? Will the child suffer rejection? Will there be favouritism? Are we really ready for this? We will also know next week Wednesday (8th October) the results of my blood tests and HSG x-ray. I'm quite nervous. Although we know there is a possiblity they could tell us we wont be able to have our own children, I think hearing it will be hard to swallow if that is the case. We keep trusting in God though. He has not let us down yet even though circumstances have. We know He gave us the promise of a child, and we know that miracles only happen in impossible situations. As long as we look to Him, we know everything will work out!
